Andy Rothman, Investment Strategist

In the December 14 issue of Sinology, we explained that China is back on a pragmatic path with the lifting of zero-COVID and property market policies that stalled domestic demand in 2022. While COVID cases are likely to continue to rise in the coming months that is unlikely to disrupt progress towards living with the virus and an economic recovery in the second half of this year.

Investment Strategist Andy Rothman shares his 2023 monthly outlook on how China's reopening and economic recovery might play out. This calendar offers his monthly base case, as well as the key risks for China's reopening.
